Description
Grit: It's an attitude, defined by courage, resolve, and strength of character, which embodies the indomitable spirit of UMBC. Within the House of Grit, you'll find tents with fun activities for all times of Retrievers - Makers, Solvers, Explorers, Uniters, and Thinkers - including UMBC's campus made of Legos!
Make you mark on UMBC's brand new Campus Events Center - Literally! - by signing a beam from the building!
Enjoy several food trucks, meeting alumni who have taken the same classes and been in the same organizations as you are now, and see President Freeman Hrabowski speak about the 50th before the UMBC Orchestra plays Stravinsky's "The Firebird" during fireworks!
Festival: 1 - 6pm
Freeman, Firebird, and Fireworks: 7:30 - 8:30pm
